Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge

Nearest highway is Hwy. 95. Accessible fishing facilities are open 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, and the canoe/kayak (non-motorized) launch is open 7 days a week during daylight hours. Available species include striped bass, largemouth and smallmouth bass, flathead and channel catfish, bluegill and black crappie. The Bill Williams River delta is open to fishing by boat and from the shoreline.

Cibola National Wildlife Refuge

Refuge is open weekends November-March only: 8:00 am-4:30 pm, Saturday; 10:00 am- 3:00 pm, Sunday. Good and fair access roads. Nearest main highway is Hwy. 78. Nearest communities are Palo Verde and Blythe. Available fishing waters are: Pretty Water (limited hours during waterfowl season, October-February), Cibola Lake (6,500 acres) and 1,080 acres of the Colorado River and the Old River channel. Fishing is permitted March 15-Labor Day unless otherwise stated. Powered personal watercraft are permitted only on the main channel of the Colorado River (no wake zones at all other sites). Available freshwater species include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, striped bass, crappie, tilapia, channel catfish, flathead catfish and bluegill.

Havasu National Wildlife Refuge

Good and fair access roads. Nearest highways are 1-40 and Hwy. 95. Nearest communities are Needles, CA, and Lake Havasu City, AZ. Refuge waters include Topock Marsh (4,000 acres) and approximately 20 miles of the Colorado River. Fishing season is year-round. Predominant species are striped bass, black bass, catfish and bluegill.

Imperial National Wildlife Refuge

Good and primitive access roads. Nearest highway is U.S. 95. Nearest community is the town of Martinez Lake. Refuge waters include Martinez Lake (1,040 acres), Clear Lake (200 acres), Island Lake (2,010 acres) and Adobe Lake (2,080 acres), as well as the Lower Colorado River (2,010 acres). Fishing season is year-round, except for the western half of Martinez Lake and the northern portion of Ferguson Lake, which are open March 1-September 30. Bank fishing only is allowed on Martinez and Clear Lakes; all other fishing is boat accessed. Available species include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, striped bass, catfish, crappie, tilapia and several species of sunfish.
